met up with branden today and it was damn interesting because he has recently been posted to a hospital and he gets to see the surgeries being done on patients with deformed features or just plain cosmetic purposes. because of his experiences, i’ve been reading up about medicine school, as a graduate school option. but the mcat exam that i have to take……….. holy shit.

but anyhow, i really don’t think people should take plastic surgery as something that is so simple, or something that is superficial. i know that recently it has become something normal for people to do, but there still exists a large group of myopic people who feel that plastic surgery is 100% unnecessary and that if people are normal then they shouldn’t be changing their features.

but what if, normal isn’t good enough to the patient? you are not even in their shoes to go through what they have went through. what if, they have experienced some trauma when they were young so that they feel a need to look good? or if they have some other incurable scars, physically or mentally, that they need a boost of confidence on another part of their body?

okay, there’s really a lot to be discussed, i can sit down with you over many cups of coffee and tea, talking it out. such as age of surgery, surgical complications, surgery differences in countries, etc… i’m pretty tired now. maybe i’ll blog when i’m in shanghai, at a cafe where i can see people walking around. recently i like looking at people, and then cringing when i realize i will look like them when i’m older. i’m definitely going for a face lift the moment my face sags.

good night. but i hope strangers stop asking me about plastic surgery. sometimes i look at their questions and i feel like i am google. no i am not. google is located at www.google.com and not hyejinxxx (twitter, tumblr, where ever…). just because i blog and tweet about it doesn’t make me an expert. and don’t ask me about the cost and location and pain and all those shit. i don’t know. if you want to do plastic surgery read up about it yourself like how i read up about it. i watch surgery videos on youtube and naver about “성형외과”/”성형수술”. it is your face and your body, not mine. like how i don’t need to do a nose job because my nose is perfect, if yours is not then do your own research. p.s. this paragraph refers only to strangers, i.e. people i haven’t talked to in real life. so if you guys are my friends, don’t worry, i enjoy talking about such things with you. it’s just getting annoying how people ask me about things and take things out of context when they don’t even understand korean and what i wrote before. they see some numbers and they think it’s the price. they see some address and they think it’s the clinic OMG.

maybe i should just give wrong advise, for the sake of fun hahahahahaha (this statement should deter people from asking me stupid questions in the future :p) i might lead them to pyongyang if they ask me how to go to apgujeong.

looking through the pictures of the nike women’s 7km run in seoul and it’s so cool… they have 2 different courses to choose from, the park or the han river (the one i’d definitely do haha) and along the way they have DJs spinning and at the end they have a huge ass concert. the top runner finished the 7km in 27 minutes, it’s fast! maybe i can slot in a 7km tonight too…

anyhow, korea in august… my running shoes have missed you!!! maybe i’ll get a new baby from shanghai. either way, can’t wait to run along the han river again!!! this time my 엄마 will have to run with me, hahahaha
